It all began in 1999 at a small apartment in Budd Lake, NJ. Abubakr Sakhu and his wife Qadriyyah Sakhu had a vision to start an organization that would help find jobs for people with mental illness, chemical dependency, or a physical disability. Almost 20 years later People Helping People in Need has found jobs for more than 4,000 people and provided more than 10,000 hours of counseling.
